The True Vine
John 15:1 - I am the true vine...
Jesus, in the Gospel of John, said that we are the branches and his Father is the vine-dresser. We are to bear fruit for God our Father. What is the fruit we are to bear? Witnessing for Christ to people who don't know Him is a major way of bearing fruit for our Father. Relying on the Holy Spirit is the only way to do this. Galatians 5:22 lists the fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. If we let the Holy Spirit control our lives, this fruit will be fulfilled in our relationships and we will be attractive witnesses for our Lord Jesus Christ.
