Canned Food Drive

We are in need of dry and canned foods in order to replenish our food bank supply for the needy.

We invite you to join us in a food drive to collect canned goods and non-perishable food items. Your donations will help provide nourishment to those facing food insecurity and spread hope in our community.

You can leave the donations in the chest located in the basement by the Missions sign.

Steve and Laura Cyr:

1. Please pray that the Lord would give Steve and another man, with whom he does evangelism every week, boldness and endurance to continue planting seeds.

2. Please pray for good friendships for our children as they are involved in Christian scouts.

3. Please pray for the new youth joining the scouts group that Laura is leading.as they are discovering the good news of Jesus.

4. Please pray for the churches in Burundi where our church has invested in a mission. We are also trying to reach out to Congolese refugees.

Jackie Hainaut:

1) For the dedication of the Kera full Bible on November 29th in Koupor, Southern Chad.
2) For the Lord to open the hearts of the Kera to read and be transformed by the Word of God in their language.
3) For a safe trip for Jackie Hainaut and her sister Eveline To Chad for the Kera dedication (11 Nov - 8 Dec).
4) For Jackie's health while in Chad; that she not have an A-Fib episode, especially when she is in Koupor, a remote village, for the dedication (Nov 26 - Dec 2).
5) For continued progress on the Kera Dictionary, a Commentary on the Sermon on the Mount in Kera, and a Grammar Sketch.
6) For Jackie to be able to have an ablation procedure in the not too distant future. The waiting list is 1-2 years.

Guidance and discernment as I support the expansion of Friends for Dinner across Canada and beyond
Divine connections with like-minded people to work together for the coordination of Friends for Dinner in Montreal
Establishment of partnerships with on campus missions and believers to help with the promotion of Friends for Dinner among international students

Prayer Requests from Shu Yin Wong:

May 16-28, I am travelling to Eurasia (a sensitive country) May 16-28 to visit two overseas staff I supervise. Please pray for safe travel and a fruitful ministry partnership with the local sisters and brothers.
May 30- June 7 Quebec Indigenous Partnership: Please pray for a teachable heart and mind for students to meet Kanien'kehaka people walking in the way of Jesus and partner with them in their work.

Tony Shaapman:

This week we started delivering a gospel to every home in the city (along with a tract and church info). There is a population of 32,000. Please pray that the Lord would stir their hearts to read the word, or link up with the church to start discovering His good news in Christ.

Please pray for me too as I will preach my 2nd sermon in Polish at the end of April.

Pray for the Christians here that the Lord would set them aflame, also for the non-believers, that the Lord would create a desire in them to know God.

Donald Rodier:

Please pray that new doors will open (of ministry and of hearts) for our chaplains to be a spiritual resource for people in their communities.
For the spirituality of our chaplains, so that they may be the expression of God's presence and love in this unstable and insecure world.
For the final stages of producing the book, promoting it, and that God, by His grace, use this book for the advancement of His Kingdom and for His greater glory in Jesus Christ.

David Ritz:

Laura Laaneorg discerning whether to become a full-time worker transitioning out of her apprenticeship.
More campus workers would come to Québec.

Wesley and Priscilla Peach:

1. Pray for the personnel of Word of Life Canada (in Owen Sound and in Sherbrooke) as we want to be our best for reaching young people with the gospel and for discipling them effectively.

2. Pray for daily wisdom for us (Wes and Priscilla) as we empower PdV staff and students in their walk with Christ and in their ministry responsibilities.

3. Pray for wisdom as we transition from academic administration toward ministry to our Bible School alumni.

Richard & Haruyo Platt:

1. Pray for the Chinese Fellowship that meets in our home. Pray for: Yang, Emily, Yali, Mingyan, for spiritual growth. We are thankful for each person who attends. We see the Lord at work among us.

MJCF (Montreal Japanese Christian Fellowship) is organizing an Easter Celebration for Japanese-speaking children on March 29. At the last Christmas event, we had 14 children. Praise the Lord!

2. Pray that the planning team will work together well, that many children will participate, and that we can build good relationships with the families who participate.

Thank God for the Japanese mothers’ online parenting meetings.

3. Pray for wisdom and guidance for the leaders (Haruyo, Mariko, and Michiko), so that we will be sensitive to each mother's needs.

Christie McVeigh:

Pray for wisdom and discernment as I develop new programs and outreaches to better reach the youth in Chateauguay.

Pray that the youth I minister to would have spiritual hunger and desire to know God.

Pray for the girls I am discipling and mentoring. One girl is questioning her faith.

Pray for more workers to join the ministry here (volunteers and staff that love Jesus & love young people!).

For my health overall.

Pray that we may be bold and loving in sharing our faith

-Pray for our 3 children, that they may each know God intimately
-Pray that our hearts may be steadfast in trusting God for our family’s financial needs

Montreal Japanese Christian Fellowship (MJCF) is organizing a Christmas event for the children of the Japanese community in Montreal on December 14. Pray that many
children and their parents will attend. Also, pray for Steve and Yumi, who will run the program.
