When witnessing it is good to ask yourself is this person a seeker or a scoffer? 

Atheism is a matter of the heart, not just the head. It is a moral choice more than an intellectual one, and it has roots in pride, thinking that we do not need God, taking pride in what we have made and accomplished. 

Nothing less than God's intervention can conquer atheism.
