Facing the challenges of life

Hebrews 4:14-16

"Seeing we have such a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot be touched with the feelings of our infirmities but was tempted in every way that we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come with confidence before the throne of grace where we may receive mercy and grace to help in time of need."

These words from Hebrews 4 tell us many things. Because of Christ's ascension we can hold fast our trust in Him. His ascension means He retained His manhood. He can empathize with us. Therefore we can come to Him with assurance , knowing that He understands every feeling that we experience and will supply the mercy and the grace that we need to cope with the challenges of life in a fallen world. We truly can face life with joy and peace relying on Him!
