Why is the book of Proverbs in the Bible? To tell us about God.

God does not want us to know the future, but He wants to give us wisdom to make good choices.  Planning is important: Proverbs 21:5, Proverbs 24:3,4; Luke 14:28
Plan with the purposes of God in mind.

James 4:15 - “if it is the Lord’s will”
James 1:5 - “If any of you lacks wisdom …”
1 Tim 5:8 - Provide for your family

Never do anything that will hinder your relationship with Him. Know your strengths, your qualities.  Are you willing to let God make midpoint corrections in your life?

Prov 16:9 “In their hearts humans plan their course,but the Lord establishes their steps.”

Get into the good habit of seeing God in all aspects of your life, since He is involved in all of them.  Bathe yourself in prayer.  Allow God to change things as He sees fit.
