Spring Session

April 7 to May 26, 2013

Sundays 9:30 am - The Doctrine of Justification

Led by David Lafleur           *Union Avenue (see below)

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ… (Romans 5:1)

Once the core of the Reformation, the doctrine of Justification has long been defended by Protestants as being the sole means by which sinners are declared “righteous” before a Holy God. Our 8 week survey of Justification will focus on certain key elements such as: the nature of man and the wrath of God against sin; both Jews and Gentiles being declared righteous on the exact same basis (i.e. by grace through faith); the grounds for Justification (i.e. propitiation, imputation, etc…); “Infused righteousness” versus “Imputed righteousness”; and the nature of saving faith. Our primary text will be the Book of Romans focusing on chapters 1- 6 and 8. A few detours to other important passages, however, will be made. Please join us as we study God’s great truth concerning His perfect work accomplished in us!

Sundays 11:05 am  - Old Testament Prophecies

Led by George Ostojic, Union Avenue (see note below)

Our study during this next period will focus on Old Testament prophecies and their fulfillment in the life and ministry of Christ. We will also look at Old Testament prophecies that predict future events that are yet to happen.

Come and join us for a rich and rewarding time of spiritual encouragement.

Location: Classes for both studies will be held in the Conference Room in the building across the street on Union Avenue. Exit our Union Avenue door and use the “Curves” entrance to access the building Conference Room.
