Jesus shows us what faith is. 

He was self-limited, hungry, thirsty, tired. He had limited knowledge. Thus he had genuine faith. He did not have all knowledge. He trusted and had faith. 

While on earth, he really did not know the day or the hour that the end will come, but he tells us to be ready, faithful and wise, serving the Lord, until the day comes. 

… and be glad that he is taking his time. Be glad that Jesus did not return the day before you believed. Be glad that he is waiting for others. 

 

2 Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise …" Each day he tarries is a gift.
