Paul opposed Peter not because he was being hypocritical, but because he was causing a diversion - a deviation from the simple gospel truth. 

Our identity is in Christ, not laws or traditions.

Faith is not a matter of agreeing with certain doctrines. It is a matter of surrender. We live for God.
