There are disagreements about what is needed for assurance of salvation. 

Some people sat it requires special knowledge or gifts, but Jesus said that not everyone who does miracles belongs to him. Mat. 7:21-23

John tells us that we can have peace and assurance if we have sound doctrine, obedience, and love.

Cling to the gospel and accept no imitations. Gal. 1:8-9 

Remember that God wants your good, that you be like Christ. He is more concerned with your holiness than you are. He will bring you obstacles and trials into your life to bring about your good.

Be assured he loves you.
