The Judge of All
Genesis 18:25(end) - Will not the judge of all the earth do right?
This question was addressed to God by Abraham when God announced that he was going to destroy Sodom. God said he would spare the city if there were ten righteous people living there. He would not destroy the righteous with the wicked. But only Lot and his family were found to be righteous and so they were removed from the city.
This account shows how God distinguishes between his people who trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation and those who do not. Believers will suffer in this fallen world but we will not experience the wrath of God. This is one of the reasons for believing that we Christians will not go through the Great Tribulation, as that will be the time when God pours forth his wrath upon the world. Let us have our hope set on our Lord Jesus Christ who delivers us from the wrath to come. (1Thessalonians 1:10)
