Job 19:25 - I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand upon the earth.
In the midst of his suffering, Job cries out his faith in the Lord. He calls Him by His title, "Redeemer ". This word in Hebrew always refers to someone who is a relative, hence the expression "kinsman redeemer". Job must have realized that the Lord would become a man. Probably he knew the prophecy of Genesis 3:15 about the Seed of the Woman who would crush the serpent, Satan. The Lord Jesus Christ fulfilled that prophecy by his virgin birth, perfect life, death on the cross for our sins, his burial in a rich man's tomb, his resurrection from the dead the third day, His ascension forty days later, His sending of the Holy Spirit ten days after that. All these facts prove that He is our "kinsman redeemer " since we are all children of Adam and Eve.
We have a choice to make. Will we receive Him as our Lord and Saviour or reject Him and His offer of salvation? There is no third alternative.
