Bible-based Trauma Healing (Zoom)
Every Monday, Thursday, from 07/28/2025 to 08/14/2025, 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM
This group is now closed.
If you are interested in attending a group, but are not able to join this group, you can register here and indicate which time periods work best for you. We will consider this when we plan our next group. We are planning to run another group this fall.
The one in the fall will probably be one evening a week for 6 weeks. Evening to be decided.
Current online Bible-based healing group.
This one is a cooperative venture between 3 churches: Westview Bible Church, First Armenian Evangelical Church of Montreal, and Peoples Church of Montreal. Diane Sollazzo, Sarah Dhanaraj, and Liza Albarian are the facilitators.
If you suffer from sadness, exhaustion, anger, feelings of isolation, or unprocessed grief, whatever the source, this small group may be for you. If you have healed from pain in the past and wish to help others dealing with these kinds of pain, the group may be for you as well.
This group is for Montreal Christians who wish to share and learn together.
Together, we will make a safe space for group members to:
- Discover what the Bible says about suffering
- Learn about trauma and its effects
- Build resilience for the future
- Learn to help others
About the group model
This healing group uses the proven and time-tested model of the Trauma Healing Institute at American Bible Society. Using applied Scripture and best mental health principles.
We are not professional healers, not doctors, psychiatrists or psychologists. We are Christians who care. We do not offer therapy, but we do offer support.
The group uses the book Caring for the Wounded Heart. Different forms of this book are in use in over 100 countries with more than 194 language groups in Africa, Asia, the Pacific and the Americas. To learn more about the model, the Trauma Healing Institute, and its work in equipping and supporting a global community of workers in trauma care, please visit TraumaHealingInstitute.org.
Purchase of the book is not required for participation. If you wish to purchase it, you can purchase a paperback version from Amazon (paperback) or the Canadian Bible Society in digital format (cheaper) or paperback.
The above links are for the Canadian edition. There is also a cheaper North American edition available at Amazon. The differences between the two are minor.
This program is run in conjunction with Trauma Healing Institute of the American and Canadian Bible Societies.
A six session group meeting twice a week (on Mondays and Thursdays) on Zoom for 3 weeks:
- Starts at 2:30 PM
- Starts July 28 and runs until Aug 14
