Emotion Coaching Workshop
Every Wednesday, 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM
EMOTION COACHING WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS & CAREGIVERS
Emotion Coaching is a research-based parenting approach developed by the Gottman Institute (https://www.gottman.com). It focuses on helping children build the emotional intelligence they need to thrive in life. Caregivers who practice Emotion Coaching learn to view their child’s emotional moments as opportunities for growth, connection, and the development of pro-social behaviors.
This 8-week workshop will be facilitated by Cindy Tsay, Registered Art Therapist & Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, who specializes in the Gottman Method for relational health. Participants will be provided with a safe and supportive space to learn the key concepts of Emotion Coaching, grounded in decades of research.
Please note: This is not a therapy group for addressing individual parenting or child-related challenges. Instead, it is an educational workshop designed to introduce the principles of Emotion Coaching, encourage reflection on personal parenting approaches, and provide opportunities to practice skills in a non-judgmental group setting.
All parents, Sunday School teachers, Awana leaders, caregivers, and professionals who work closely with children are warmly welcome to participate.
The workshop will be free, but if people need babysitting we will see if we can provide that at a reasonable cost.
If you would like to attend, you may register here.
