What is God looking for? Celibacy? Rejection of good things? Asceticism? 

Eternal training, God's training is the beginning of godliness. 

However, we need to let God work in our lives. Christ is the answer. 

 

There is both an active and a passive aspect to God's training. Christ redeems us first and then we can exercise our spiritual muscles. 

We need to say no to that which is ungodly.

Beware of false teachers, with false doctrines.
