What a great thing to tell the world, "I belong to Jesus!"

Q. Who can be baptized?

A. Any believer can. The Ethiopian Eunuch was eager to learn. He had only been a Christian a couple of hours when he was baptized. No spiritual maturity is required.

The Jews had restrictions on who could enter the temple. There are no such limitations on baptism.

Q. How is one baptized?

A. The usual method is immersion, as in this story. The word for baptism comes from a Greek word indicating dipping something into water, not just sprinkling. It is also symbolic of Jesus' burial and resurrection. However, since it is a symbolic act, if there are reasons not to immerse someone, such as health concerns or not enough water, then another method is fine.
