Jesus was tempted as we are: Heb 2:18

The tempter has a goal. He wants us to do things his way. 

Do not put the Lord God to the test. (Deut 6:16)  Ask him for help. Don't demand it. 

Satan tempted Jesus to avoid the cross and to worship him. We are all tempted to reject God's way and follow our own. However, we must remember we are not alone in the temptation, God will provide a way out. (1 Cor 10:13)

Beware, some sin comes with a mask on.
