Passage: Psalms 73:1-28

Summary: God is full of emotion and has given us emotions. Emotional health begins and ends with God. We need him. Unchecked emotion can lead us astray.

The Bible shows us that God is full of emotion: love, joy, contentment, grief, wrath ...

Jesus was full of emotion. He felt sorrow, he wept. He had emotions, but he was in control of them.

Paul too, was full of emotion. He grieved over the lost. He had real raw emotion which God chose to document.

We need to acknowledge our emotions, look at them from God's perspective, realize that unchecked emotions can lead us astray, turn our anger over to God (although simply being angry is not a sin) and rely on God to guide our thoughts. Only God is enough.

Many, many scripture references are presented. Some key ones are: Ps. 73, Eph 4:26, 1 Peter 5:7
