Recognizing our Creator and Saviour
Paul, when speaking to the Athenian philosophers on the Areopagus (Mars Hill), said of God, "in Him we live and move and have our being" he also added "as one of your own poets has said, 'we are His offspring' ". The reason he was invited to address this group, including stoics and epicureans, was that he had been proclaiming Jesus and the resurrection. From this account we gather the following conclusions - God is supreme creator and the resurrection of Christ is central to the proclaiming of the gospel.
