Pastor Frank Humphrey

Dr. Frank Humphrey, Pastor

Frank Humphrey, born and raised in Montreal, received Christ as his Savior and Lord in 1964. He began his pastorate at Peoples Church in 1978. Dr. Humphrey holds a B.A. (Bishops), Dip. Ed. (McGill), M.Div. (Canadian Theological College), Th.M. (Trinity Evangelical Divinity School), and a Ph.D (McGill) in Hebrew Old Testament. He and his wife Daria have three children.

Rev. Bryan Guinness, Pastor

Bryan Guinness grew up in Montreal and came to know Christ at a young age. He obtained a B.Sc. from McGill in 1999 and was heading in the direction of Medicine when God used a number of circumstances to redirect him into full-time ministry. He holds a M.A. from Acadia University (Faculté de Théologie Évangélique) and he has a passion to preach God’s Word, showing how Biblical principles intersect with human needs. He and his wife Erin have two young children.

Nancy Freeman, Administrative Assistant

Nancy Freeman has been the Administrative Assistant at Peoples since 1992 and she brings great order to the church office. She is a native of Quebec and holds a B.A. in English Literature and Adult Education. Nancy loves teaching, music, and really enjoys outdoor activities, especially camping.

Peter Cooney, Ministry Director

Peter Cooney joined the Ministry Staff in 2001. Peter, who has a B.A. from Concordia, came to Peoples from being on staff with Word of Life Fellowship in Schroon Lake, NY. Peter, who was also born and raised in Montreal, loves people and he is gifted in administration. He has been married to Sue since 1965 and they have four grown daughters and nine grandchildren.

Christopher Shipster, Youth Pastor

Christopher Shipster was born in Harare, Zimbabwe. He moved to Australia when he was seventeen and studied at Perth Bible College where he received a Bachelors in Ministry with a major in Pastoral Counseling. He moved to Montreal in 2011 under God’s leading, and joined the staff in the Fall of 2012. He has a passion for teaching and preaching. He loves to work with teenagers, and he has a deep desire for holistic community development and missionary work.
